Knova Freight: freight forwarding ERP, from quote to customs to invoice.
An Odoo module that runs a freight forwarder's entire job lifecycle across land, sea, and air, on one record.

Short answer
What is Knova Freight? Knova Freight is the freight forwarding ERP we built on Odoo 19 Enterprise, hosted on Odoo.sh. It covers rate-card quotations with margin control, house and master shipments (HB/L, MB/L, HAWB, MAWB), UAE customs declarations (Bayan), trucking trips with iGeoTrack GPS, fleet maintenance, WPS payroll and live profit per job.

Overview
Freight forwarders and transport operators juggle quotes, shipments, trucks, customs and payroll across Excel sheets and disconnected tools. This Knova module centralises it all on a single Job Order, with lifecycle stages, customs and demurrage engines, rate cards, and a live profitability dashboard, so operations, finance, and management work from one source of truth. It is built for the UAE: Bayan customs declarations with duty and import VAT from the HS code, WPS payroll, and iGeoTrack GPS for road freight, heavy lift and cross-border trucking alongside sea and air forwarding. How Knova implements it for your operation, step by step: Odoo freight forwarding ERP for UAE and GCC forwarders.
What does Knova Freight include?
Master data built for freight: ports and locations (UN/LOCODE, IATA), carriers, vessels, voyages and flights, ISO container types, package types, commodities with HS codes and dangerous-goods data, a charge catalogue, trade lanes, and buy/sell rate cards with surcharges.
Mode-specific quotations for sea, air and land, auto-priced from rate cards (surcharges and trailer-type rates included), with live buy/sell margin per line and per quote.
Quote controls: manager approval below minimum margin, a pricing-team step before sending, numbered revisions (R1, R2…), terms and conditions per quote type, and branded layouts.
One house job per shipment (sea, air or land; import or export), with LCL and air consolidation onto a master shipment: HB/L and HAWB on the house, MB/L and MAWB on the master.
Milestones planned vs actual, demurrage and detention countdown timers with alerts, exception logging, and a colour-coded control-tower board.
UAE customs declarations (Bayan) per shipment: duty and import VAT from the HS code, an inspection and release workflow, duty, VAT and fees posted to the job, a one-click customer proforma, and delivery blocked until customs release.
Land transport: jobs split into delivery trips (truck, trailer, driver, waybill, POD), transport contracts with route prices, driver and diesel allowances, subcontracted truckers with margin, printed waybills, and a monthly billing wizard that puts all waybills on one invoice.
iGeoTrack GPS integration: live truck position, odometer and driver; on delivery the trip stores actual distance, fuel, idle time and overspeeding against the plan.
Job costing: revenue and cost charges per job, one-click customer invoices, supplier bills matched to expected job costs with variance flags, and disbursements kept separate from VAT-able services on the invoice.
Live job profit that matches the accounts, with profitability by job, trade lane, customer, branch and mode.
Controls: advance-payment customers' trucks cannot leave until paid, and access levels so operations do not see amounts and sales do not see costs.
Fleet and maintenance: maintenance requests take a truck out of service, spare parts from store or suppliers, external workshop repair orders, stock counts applied only after approval, printable job cards, and truck document expiry reminders (registration, insurance, port gate passes, inspection, permits).
UAE HR and payroll: employee document expiry reminders (passport, Emirates ID, visa, labour card, licence), multi-level recruitment approvals, fines, loans and advances recovered from salary, an Excel payroll register, and the WPS SIF file.

Frequently asked questions
Will this plug into the Odoo system we already run, or do we need something separate?
It is a custom module built on Odoo 19 Enterprise, deployed straight into your own Odoo instance rather than a separate app. It sits alongside the Sales, Purchase, Inventory, and Accounting apps you already use, and gets tailored to your lanes, rate cards, and workflows during implementation, not bolted on as a generic add-on.
Does it handle UAE customs declarations (Bayan)?
Yes, that is built in, not bolted on. Each shipment carries its UAE customs declarations (Bayan), with duty and import VAT calculated from the HS code, an inspection and release workflow, and duty, VAT and fees posted to the job. A customer proforma follows in one click, and delivery stays blocked until customs releases the cargo.
How long does implementation take, and what will it cost us?
Timelines and cost are scoped to your operation, not sold off a price list — lanes, rate-card complexity, and customs setup all factor in. As a guide, most freight forwarding implementations go live in 6 to 10 weeks. You see it running on your own jobs before you pay anything, and if we miss the date, you walk away.
